Stargazing Campout

Join us for a quick stargazing trip to one of Southern California's best stargazing spots, Blair Valley in Anza-Borrego Desert State park! We will be visiting on a new moon, and so with enough luck we will have perfect stargazing conditions. Additionally, those interested can opt in to join us for a stop in San Diego before our return to campus later on Sunday. We will plan on going to the beach and visiting some San Diego landmarks.

The trip will depart Saturday afternoon and return by 3PM on Sunday, or later if opting for the San Diego portion. Participants will have to arrange for their own transportation or travel with others - details and contact information will be shared among participants so you can arrange for carpools. There is no fee, however you should plan to help cover some of the cost for gas / vehicle wear of the vehicle you will be in ($30-$40 each is suggested) and for purchasing meals while going and returning.
