SASS Lunch with Loraine Lundquist

Join us for a lunch discussion with Dr. Loraine Lundquist, a Faculty Associate at the CSUN Institute for Sustainability, and a Board Member for LA Forward – a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting progressive policy, holding elected officials accountable for advancing justice, and building coalitions across Los Angeles.  She is a former candidate for City Council, a member of the Northridge East Neighborhood Council, co-chair of the homelessness committee of Northridge East Neighborhood Council, and a founding member of the West Valley Neighborhood Alliance on Homelessness.  Lundquist is a proud union member, an elected delegate to the California Democratic Party, and an astrophysicist (Ph.D - Berkeley) who served as a Science and Technology Policy Fellow at the National Academy of Sciences and a research scientist at Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.  She is also a mom who has fostered three children, one of whom she recently adopted. 

SASS Lunches are open to any member of the Caltech affiliated community; however, if space becomes an issue, priority will be given to students.  Views expressed are solely those of the speaker(s).
