Santa Cruz Island Camping + Hiking

Join us for a two day, one night, camping/hiking trip to Santa Cruz Island in Channel Islands National Park and kick off your term on a spectacular adventure! The island features amazing coastline views, beaches and hills, amazing wildlife (potentially whales!) and many trails for all different experience levels.

We plan to depart Saturday, early in the morning in order to catch the morning ferry from Ventura, and return to campus in the evening on Sunday. Sign-ups are first-come-first-served.

With 40% of the cost subsidized by the Caltech Y, the fee of just $70 covers the ferry, camping as well as dinner, breakfast, and lunch on the island. * You may want some funds for quick food stops to and from Ventura, and please plan to contribute toward carpool expenses ($25 recommended) that is not included.
