Save the date – April 11th – for Make-A-Difference Day. Every year, student leaders through The Caltech Y organize volunteer opportunities with organizations from all over Pasadena and the greater LA region for one day of community service. All members of the Caltech community are invited to participate in a variety of ways – working with, or for, kids or animals; doing physical clean up or construction tasks, working on environmental or outdoor projects; visiting with those who are unable to get out much – with organizations like the Boys and Girls Club, Eco Urban Gardens, the LA Arboretum, Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, LA Food Bank, and more. Projects, led by other students, are 4 to 6 hours - including travel, depending on the project. Meals, transportation, and free merch are provided.
