ABOUT BRYAN VEJAR

Bryan Vejar is the Senior Manager of Arboricultural Education & Training for the environmental non-profit, TreePeople. He is a Board Certified Master Arborist and Tree Risk Assessor. Bryan has been a climbing arborist for Disneyland & California Adventure, operated a native landscaping and tree care service, and was most recently the Caltech Arborist before joining TreePeople. Bryan was the recipient of California Urban Forest Council’s “Forestry Project of the Year” for his work at Caltech and has received both the Golden Leaf Award and Young Professional of the Year award from the International Society of Arboriculture (Western Chapter). He began his relationship with TreePeople as a Volunteer Supervisor and has since committed his efforts to Treepeople’s mission of promoting shade equity, native habitat restoration, and environmental education.

Please note the tiered-rate ticket system:

  • Friends of the Caltech Y (Friends of the Caltech Y have given $200+ in the last year and should have received a specific email alerting you of your Friend status) and Reunion attendees please check your email for your discount code to be entered at checkout. This gives you a 50% discount on event tickets. 
  • If you are a supporter, but not yet a Friend, tickets are $50 per person*

*Guests also have the option to become a Friend of the Caltech Y for $225, which includes your $200 annual Friends membership and your attendance to this Friends event. The Friends of the Caltech Y is the primary support group of the Caltech Y. Annual minimum donations of $200 and above are recognized at the Friends level and are acknowledged in the annual report. Friends are invited to two to three other private, special events throughout the year, such as this event, and receive the Y’s quarterly newsletters and annual report.
