rise program scholarship

The Scholarship Fund was created thanks to the financial support of the Caltech Y Tom M. Apostol Fund for Sciencce and Math Outreach to graduating high school seniors participating in the Rise Program. Scholarship amounts range from $500-$1000 per student. Applications open annually in March.
eligibility

Be a high school senior on track for graduation

Attending a 2 or 4-year college/university in the Fall

Be a current or former Rise student (joined the Rise Program during junior year or earlier)
selection process

Completed applications will be reviewed by the scholarship committee

If you are selected, the scholarship committee will notify the student in the month of May 2019

Scholarship checks will be awarded upon verification of enrollment at an accredited college or university for the 2019-2020 academic year.
Application process

Submit a current resume detailing education, work exerpeince (if applicable), achievements, extracurricular activities, and community service/involvement.

Submit a 500-700 word essay answering the following question:

How has the Rise Program made a difference in your life?

Essay response must be typed, 12-point font size in Arial or Times New Roman and double spaced

If awarded a scholarship, how do you plan to use the funding? Include a 100 word or less response at the end of your essay.
