The Caltech Y offers a wide range of rental equipment at little to no cost for Caltech community members. From concerts to movies to talks, many events make use of AV Equipment and Event Equipment from the Y. Outdoor gear is also available, so whether you are planning a day trip or a major expedition we may have what you need. Visit each category to see a complete list of equipment and charges.

The best way to assure that the equipment you want is available when you need it is to reserve it ahead of time. Simply stop by the Y and complete the appropriate rental forms. Payments can be made at your preference: on reservation, check out, or return. Equipment should be returned in the same condition as when checked out, and added fees may be applied for late returns, or for equipment requiring organization, cleaning, or repair. If you are coordinating a campus event or class trip you may be eligible to waive fees in certain cases. Contact the Y well in advance of your program to see if this may be an option for you.
