Many programs, and all of the on-going community service projects, depend
on student coordinators in order to operate. The coordinator
roles and responsibilties vary, and most projects have more than one
co-coordinator. Caltech Y staff and student leaders support, advise,
and provide resources to assist in these efforts. Community Service Coordinator
positions are Federal Work Study approved.
Tutoring Coordinators help recruit Caltech student
tutors, ensure that the tutoring room is set up for each session, coordinate
the check in/out procedures, respond to any tutor and tutee concerns
during the session, and monitor the Federal Work Study timesheets process.
